What information do you need for process service?

  • The legal documents from the court. These usually include the file-stamped copies of the citation and complaint or the subpoena.
  • The legal address where the defendant lives and or works.
  •  All the additional information you can provide. Pictures, description, phone number, vehicles.  More is Better. The more information you can provide the faster and greater the chances of success.
  • Payment once the service is complete. Once this payment is made, we will forward the needed documents for you to file with the court for the completion of the service.

What am I getting for the cost?

We strive to go the extra mile, and depending on the needs of your serve we

may decided to do our own research to ensure the defendant is served at no

extra cost to you.

Who performs these serves?

As a company, we believe that the level of expertise for process service needs to be set at a much higher level than State requirements and all our process server must meet the following minimum standards:

  • Texas Licensed Private Investigator
  • Texas Certified Process Server
  • Texas Notary
  • AND at least 2 years of experience or very close mentor supervision

What is a "Bad address"?

As process servers, we run into various obstacles in the field. Document delivery isn’t just handing off papers and finding the correct person and address occasionally presents a challenge. Each document provides the name and address for a process server to complete that serve, when sufficient evidence has been gathered that the subject does not reside at a residence, this is referred to as a “bad address.”

Examples of a bad address:

  • Property is vacant or there is a "For Sale" sign in yard.
  • Current resident of address is not defendant (defendant has moved).
  • Residence doesn’t exist, is abandoned, burned down, etc.
  • If a resident is threatening or tells you not to return.
  • If defendant is incarcerated (in jail or prison).
  • Defendant suffers from a terminal illness, mental disability, or other permanent hardship. Or if they seem unfit to accept service.
  • Defendant is deceased and A motion for scire fascias also called a motion for scire fascias substitution, (a motion that asks the Court to substitute in a representative on behalf of the estate of a deceased party.) has not been established.

So what happens when sufficient evidence has been gathered and a residence is determined to be a bad address?

The process server provides you with all of the information you need for you or your lawyer to pass along to a judge who will review the information to determine whether to approve an alternative form of service.

What Happens if service is unsuccessful?

This is usually not the case and the courts have established many different options available to us to successfully complete the process depending on the State in which the lawsuit has been filed in.

If we need to take these additional steps, we will consult with you regarding these options and any additional costs associated with implementing them.
